Pfew.
A new day has started and this time I really need to work hard to finish my paper. I’ve never really had to work like this on high school. Too bad. Let’s tell you something about a website I really really like. I’ts called GMH (GivesMeHope) and there are these quotes/posts of people that have gone through something bad and got hope again by total strangers/their family/friends, or just random people who got hope from someone else.
I would like to post a few messages here because it really gives me hope too.
There are still some good people in the world:
Several years back, I passed by an elderly man with crutches hobbling onto an interstate on-ramp. I stopped and asked the man if I could give him a ride. He said “Yes, I’m just going to the next exit to visit my wife.” When I get to the next exit, I dropped him off at the cemetery. His never ending love GMH.
My friend was raped at a party and later found out she was pregnant. Rather than abort, she carried the baby to term and gave it to a couple who was unable to conceive. The family still sends her photos of her little girl, and she posts every single one on her facebook. Her selfless courage GMH.
I’m a 17 year old girl, and one night I ended up stranded in the city, alone, at 3am. Two bouncers that had just finished work came up and asked if I was okay, and warned me that I was being followed. They took me out for coffee then gave me a lift home, 45 minutes away. Knowing that no matter what, someone’s always looking over me GMH.
For four years my best friend held my hand through an emotionally abusive relationship while hiding his deep love with me. Today he will be holding my hand while walking out of the church after our wedding. The fact that he has already loved me through thick and thin GMH.
Just over two years ago, my young daughter ran up to a stranger on the street, asking him to marry her. I was so embarassed, but he was so sweet he bought us both ice cream and after a while we started dating. Six months ago I got my very own proposal. My daughter’s bravery brought two soul mates together. Baby girl you GMH
This morning as I was packing lunch, about to leave for work, my boyfriend danced into the kitchen singing a made up song consisting of only my name over and over. When he saw me, he turned red and said “Oh, you’re still here”. Sneaking a peak in the daily routine of someone who really loves me GMH.

And I can keep on posting their messages because they are all so beautiful. And they really give me hope. I hope you people out there have a moment in your life too which gives you hope. I certainly have, maybe I’ll tell you someday. But for now I still have to focus on my paper.
